Family Reunion
I recently drove to Wilmington, NC for a family reunion. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and got settled in to a beautiful house on the inter-coastal waterway on Wrightsville Beach. Several relatives flew in from around the country, coming from Boston, Chicago, San Diego, and San Francisco to celebrate my sister’s college graduation and my fiance’s Master’s degree graduation. In the week leading up to the graduations we had a good time relaxing on the beach, going to Airlie gardens, and seeing the Poplar Grove plantation. We walked around downtown Wilmington and took lots of pictures at the Graduation ceremony. On Sunday we were in Chapel Hill and enjoyed both a big graduation and a smaller departmental graduation ceremony. Afterwords we had a graduation/Mother’s day dinner on the way home. Back in Davidson we were exhausted but happy to be home.

Past, Present, Future
I have been living in Davidson since December, and life here has been great. My fiancé and I are living together, my commute is shorter, and I have been reading more and more. I have been getting lots of books from the library and watched several classic movies. I have also enjoyed listening to record albums on the player we found at goodwill.
We recently had a great road trip to Atlanta and Birmingham. The Georgia Aquarium was amazing, with whale sharks and dolphins. Towards the end of our visit it got crazy when it felt like the circus with lots of cranky kids. I took many great pictures and definitely want to go back some day. In Birmingham we got to see the whole city from the Vulcan statue and visit some great friends. It was a long drive home but definitely worth it.
Work has been going good, always something changing. We finally got some new code into production this Monday, which was very exciting.
I am looking forward to the summer very much with warmer temperatures and longer days. I plan on going to the farmers market on Saturdays, and taking our raft out on the lake. I am very excited about a weeks’ vacation in Wilmington in early May, at Wrightsville Beach. Whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there.

Look up at the world around you.
